Forsyth Medical Center | Full-Time Nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) | Winston-Salem, NC
Join our Post-Surgical Acute Care team and provide compassionate, hands-on care to post-operative and medically complex patients as they recover and prepare for discharge. In this fast-paced environment, LPNs play an essential role in supporting patient recovery by monitoring conditions, administering treatments, providing education, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary care team. What You'll Do
• Provide direct patient care to post-surgical and medically complex patients.
• Monitor patient status and promptly communicate changes in condition to the care team.
• Perform wound care, dressing changes, and assist with management of surgical drains and NG tubes.
• Administer medications and treatments within the LPN scope of practice.
• Assist with tube feedings, anticoagulant therapy, and other specialized treatments.
• Support pain management plans and promote patient comfort throughout recovery.
• Reinforce patient and family education regarding medications, recovery expectations, and discharge instructions.
• Collaborate with RNs, providers, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
• Accurately document patient care, treatments, and responses in the electronic medical record.
• Promote patient safety and contribute to positive patient outcomes and experiences.

What We're Looking For
• Education : High School Diploma or GED, required. Graduate of accredited Practical Nursing Program, required.
• Experience : One year of relevant experience, required.
• Licensure/Certification : Appropriate state LPN license, required.
• Additional Skills (required) : Computer skills, Phone call etiquette, Organizational Skills.
