Atlantic Health is Seeking a Per Diem Physician Assistant for a Great Opportunity in Northern New Jersey
Atlantic Health, one of New Jersey's largest non-profit healthcare networks, is seeking a Physician Assistant to join the Department of Orthopedics at Atlantic Health Overlook Medical Center. We are looking for a dedicated and reliable PA to provide inpatient coverage for our orthopedic spine team. The team is looking for a per diem candidate who would be able to work on a rotating schedule covering day shifts.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of orthopedic acute care, with previous experience in the OR as a first assist. Ideal candidates can work collaboratively with the team, demonstrate strong attention to detail, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The primary role of the PA is to assist in rounds, perform consultations, first assist in spine cases, order and interpret diagnostic tests, evaluate postoperative patients, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best patient care. The role will also involve occasional cross-coverage with the orthopedic joint/trauma team where you will collaborate with the APPs and orthopedic residents. Education: Graduate of an accredited PA program
Required Licenses: Valid New Jersey License, APN or PA
Required Certifications: Active board certification in the area of APN specialty or active PA board certification, BLS and ACLS
Required Experience: Acute Care, Orthopedics/Trauma/Spine advanced practice
Years of Experience: At least 3 years’ experience in Orthopedics Acute Care
