Job Description Summary:
The Gastroenterology Physician Assistant (PA) provides specialized care for patients with digestive and liver disorders. This role works closely with gastroenterologists and interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care across outpatient and inpatient settings.
Job Description:
• Provide comprehensive care for patients with gastrointestinal disorders and diseases.
• Conduct patient assessments, obtain medical histories, perform physical examinations, and develop treatment plans.
• Order, interpret, and review diagnostic tests, laboratory studies, and imaging results.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, preventive care, and lifestyle modifications.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes.
• Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently within the electronic medical record.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support AdventHealth's mission of extending the healing ministry of Christ through whole-person care

Education:
• Master's of Physician Assistant [Required]

Field of Study:

Work Experience:
1+ year of related work experience [Required]
Licenses and Certifications:
• Physician Assistant License from an accredited program [Required]
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
