Straith Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our healthcare team! As a PTA, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to implement treatment plans, assist with patient rehabilitation, and support recovery across diverse clinical settings. Responsibilities
• Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and executing individualized care plans tailored to patient needs.
• Implement therapeutic interventions such as trigger point therapy, manual therapy, and therapeutic exercises to promote mobility and pain relief.
• Monitor patient progress, document responses to treatments, and communicate observations to supervising therapists.
• Support patients across various settings including inpatient units, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, home health environments, and acute care units.
• Educate patients and their families on post-treatment exercises, discharge instructions, and injury prevention strategies.
• Maintain accurate medical terminology documentation and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards.
• Participate in discharge planning by assessing patient progress and coordinating care transitions effectively.

Qualifications
• Prior experience working in inpatient settings, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, or home health is highly desirable.
• A valid PTA license or certification is required.
