Job Summary
A Physical Therapist Assistant assists the Therapist with therapeutic exercises, training or treatment plans to return the patient to a normal pattern of movement and functioning as possible. The primary functions are to perform patient related activities, including delegated procedures that are commensurate with his/her educational skill and training.Education: ▪ Required: Graduated from an accredited physical therapy assistant program OR High School Diploma or equivalent AND Grandfathered status under the Missouri State Board for the Healing Arts. Experience: ▪ No prior experience required Skills: ▪ Good clinical expertise, communication skills, human relations skills and organizational skills required. ▪ Self-motivated individual who can work independently with little direct supervision required ▪ Has demonstrated interest in professional growth by attendance at continuing education workshops, and applications of new principles and/or techniques. Licensure/Certification/Registration: ▪ Required: License for Physical Therapy Assistant active in the state of Missouri
