Department: Outpatient Rehabilitation-Physical Therapy
Shifts Available: Days
Employment Type: Per Diem (PD/PRN)
Hours: 8:00am to 4:30pm(Weekend and Holiday Rotation Requirements)
Location: St. Joseph Medical Center- Kansas City, MO
We are seeking a full-time Physical Therapist (PT) to join our Outpatient Rehabilitation Team. Therapists provide one-on-one, patient-centered care, primarily treating orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions, with opportunities to work with neurological, vestibular, lymphedema, and pelvic health populations. The ideal candidate is passionate about evidence-based practice, functional outcomes, individualized treatment planning, and collaboration within a multidisciplinary healthcare team. One year of outpatient orthopedic experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but is not limited to):
• Perform in-depth assessments to understand patient conditions, establish baselines, and identify therapy goals.
• Collaborate with patients to design and implement personalized rehabilitation strategies to restore strength, function, and mobility.
• Facilitate physical therapy sessions through exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities such as ultrasound or electrical stimulation to enhance recovery.
• Regularly evaluate patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary to effectively achieve therapeutic goals.
• Guide exercises, home programs, and lifestyle changes that support ongoing recovery and prevent future injuries.
• Work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic, coordinated approach to patient care.
• Deliver a 1:1 therapy session

Qualifications
Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:
• Bachelor/ Masters/ Doctorate/Certificate degree in Physical Therapy
• Current state Physical Therapy license
• Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain it
