Pharmacy Technician I (Prior Authorization)

Job description

Position Purpose: Perform necessary pharmacy services and prescription benefit related functions for internal customers, members, physicians and pharmacies.
Key Details: This is a fully remote Pharmacy Technician I role working Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
• Triage coverage determination requests submitted from providers through prior authorization system.
• Review coverage determinations forms submitted by providers for accuracy and completeness.
• Assist team in researching and resolving problems involving coverage determinations.
• Contact providers for additional information to facilitate the coverage determination review.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. 1+ years of pharmacy experience.
License/Certification: Current state’s Pharmacy Technician license.

Pay Range: $15.87 - $27.25 per hour
