Pay range: $109,250 - $177,530 / year
Shift: full-time AM

Job Highlights
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the daily activities of the infusion authorization pharmacists
• Collaborate with the Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) supervisor to manage PCC activities
• Oversee scheduling and staffing of the infusion authorization team
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy practice guidelines
• Collaborate with the infusion therapy team and retail pharmacies to ensure smooth patient access, dispensing, and prior authorization support
• Promote rational medication therapy by evaluating all orders in the context of current literature, UAB medication evaluations and the UAB Formulary, contacting the physician or healthcare professional and making recommendation for changes when appropriate.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description
To supervise and evaluate pharmaceutical services in an assigned area. To ensure pharmacy operations conform to all applicable internal and external regulations, are fiscally sound and promote quality patient care. Provides pharmaceutical care as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy and two (2) years of experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Licensed Pharmacist by the Alabama Board of Pharmacy (ALBOP) required.
Preferred Qualifications:
• At least three (3) years of experience in infusion authorization workflows
• Display the ability to multitask and have excellent teamwork skills
