We’re seeking a BC/BE fellowship-trained Pediatric Radiologist to join our growing team as a Core Faculty Member in our new Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program. This position offers the chance to build a pediatric radiology curriculum, mentor the next generation of radiologists, and practice in a collaborative environment supported by leading technology—all while enjoying a flexible hybrid schedule and generous time away from work.

As a Core Faculty Member , you’ll have meaningful, protected non-clinical time dedicated to academic responsibilities—not squeezed in after hours.
You’ll have the opportunity to:
• Develop and lead the pediatric radiology curriculum for our new Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program
• Mentor residents in research and quality improvement projects
• Support resident presentations at state and national meetings
• Teach medical students and residents from other specialties
• Receive an academic appointment with the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine

Enjoy a Balanced Clinical Practice
Your practice will include a rewarding mix of pediatric and adult imaging in a collaborative subspecialty environment.
Highlights include:
• Approximately 50% pediatric / 50% adult imaging
• Variety of subspecialty and general radiology cases
• Reading for a busy Level I Trauma Center and thrombectomy-capable stroke center
• Primarily weekday schedule (8:00 AM–5:00/6:00 PM)
• Swing shifts (Noon–8:00 PM) approximately once every three weeks
• Evening shifts (5:00 PM–11:00 PM) approximately once every three weeks
• Only three weekends per year
• No mammography requirements

You’ll also participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and quality improvement initiatives.
