Patient Scheduler - Diagnostic Imaging

Job description

Responsible for scheduling outpatient imaging services including: CT; MRI; Ultrasound; Nuclear Medicine; Radiology. Schedules Mammography services and bone density tests. Responsible for the acquisition and distribution of clinically specific referrals, lab reports and history and physical reports to the appropriate imaging departments. Expected to creatively manipulate schedules to allow for optimal technologist/room/radiologist productivity - revenue generation. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are vital.

Required Qualifications:
• Coursework/Training: Medical Terminology
• 1 year of medical clerical experience required

Preferred Qualifications:
• Associate's Degree Preferably in medical services Or completion of two year vocational program with emphasis on medical services
• 1 year of medical scheduling experience with a radiology focus
