Patient Registration Registrar

Job description

Responsibilities
• Works under general supervision in interviewing incoming patients or representatives to obtain and record necessary information for registration
• Distributes copies to appropriate departments
• Obtains signed statements and consents
• Ensures precertification has been obtained for outpatient services when applicable
• Provides relief to switchboard operators and lobby managers

Qualifications
• Proficient typing skills
• Above average spelling ability, good communication skills and use of good judgement
• Knowledge of medical terminology and computer experience is preferred

Working Hours
• Part-Time - 10:30P - 6A - Working 3 days per pay period (every other weekend + one weekday) - May require a holiday rotation
