Job description
JOB SUMMARY
• Patient Care Techs provide personal care; health-related services; and assist with activities of daily living. Patient Care Techs function under the direction; instruction; and supervision of nursing staff. Patient Care Techs have a professional obligation to participate in committee activities; surveys; improvement initiatives; and continuing education.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum Education
• High School or equivalent.
• Minimum Work Experience
• No previous experience.
• Required Licenses/Certifications
• Patient Care Tech Orientation
• BLS - should not initiate patient contact until completed.
• Required Skills; Knowledge; and Abilities
• Input data into computer programs.
• Communication and public relation skills.
• Designated Driver
• No
• OSHA Category
• 1 - High Risk
