Patient Access Supervisor - Patient Registration (Days)

Job description

Coordinates work assignments for registrations, pre-registration, and centralized scheduling services within arena registration environment as assigned. Supports registration functions by performing job duties as needed.
Education
High School Diploma or GED
Experience
Two years of related experience. Requires working knowledge of specialized practices, equipment, and procedures.

*Excellent public relations skills. Pleasant professional demeanor when dealing with the public even irate or abusive individuals. Must possess the ability to communicate effectively and maintain good relations with co-workers, the hospital and medical staff as well as with patients, families, and third-party payers.
*One year previous experience relevant to position (i.e. registration, scheduling, utilization review in healthcare). Previous experience or knowledge of ICD-10, CPT-4 coding techniques preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred. Relevant training or education may be considered as experience. Management and/or experience in healthcare finance or revenue cycle preferred but not required.
*Proficient use of computer equipment.
*Proven ability to act as a positive influence in a leadership role and to effectively work with other at all levels within and outside the organization.
