Summary
Provides advanced life support care to patients who are ill and/or injured. Administers direct care to the patient of all age groups under the direction of an emergency medical physician, emergency physician’s assistant, and emergency advanced registered nurse practitioner or utilizes approved EMS medical protocols if transporting a patient. Ensures adherence to hospital and department policies as well as paramedic scope of practice.

Baptist Health is looking for a PRN Paramedic to join our Transport EMS team at Baptist Health Louisville!
Job Description:
• Provides advanced life support care to patients who are ill and/or injured.
• Administers direct care to the patient of all age groups under the direction of an emergency medical physician, emergency physician’s assistant, and emergency advanced registered nurse practitioner or utilizes approved EMS medical protocols if transporting a patient.
• Ensures adherence to hospital and department policies as well as paramedic scope of practice.

Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic Licensure by the Kentucky Board of EMS.
• Valid Kentucky Motor Vehicle Operator’s License.
• Valid Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification (ACLS) through the American Heart Association.
• Valid Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certifications (PALS) through the American Heart Association. This may be acquired within 90 days of employment.
• Valid Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) through the American Heart Association.
• Other certifications and specialty training as required by the Kentucky Board of EMS.
