Job Description:
Entry level pay starting at $26/hr.
SHIFT: Part-Time, Weekends
• Implements treatment plans established by the Occupational Therapist; and through consideration of practice standards, recommended techniques, insurance guidelines, and patient needs.
• Uses appropriate therapy procedures, documents data, and follows individualized care plans set by the occupational therapist.
• Provides patient and family education, including home exercise programs for treatment carryover into the discharge setting.
• Supports consumer marketing and public awareness through participation in community events, educational lectures, and other extensions of clinical expertise to the community.
• Conducts age-appropriate assessments and interventions, completing annual age-specific competencies relevant to the scope of care. Acts as a clinical instructor and provides mentorship to students and new staff, fostering a supportive and educational environment.
• Engages in ongoing review of occupational therapy and rehab policies and procedures, making recommendations for updates as needed.
• Documents interventions and patient progress accurately, completely, and timely using measurable and objective terminology in line with standards of practice, insurance guidelines, and department/hospital policies and procedures.
• Maintains productivity standards as defined by the department and adjusts work hours to meet the needs of the patients as required.
• Ensures patient safety and adheres to hospital and departmental policies and procedures, including infection control, equipment training, and safety programs.
• Participates in performance improvement initiatives and educational events to maintain clinical competencies and adhere to professional and evidence-based practices. Other duties as assigned.

• Associate Required

Licenses and Certifications:
• Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) Required
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) Required
• National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) Preferred

Pay Range:
$20.80 - $38.69
