Atlantic Health is Seeking a Neurocritical Care APP (NP/PA) for a Per Diem Opportunity in Summit, NJ
Atlantic Health, one of New Jersey's largest non-profit healthcare networks, is seeking a Per Diem Neurocritical Care APP to join the Atlantic Neuroscience Institute at Atlantic Health Overlook Medical Center. The neuroscience flagship of Atlantic Health houses a 29-bed unit for neuroscience patients, as well as a brand new 12-bed Neuroscience Critical Care Unit for patients recovering from stroke, brain surgery, seizures, nervous system infections, head trauma and spinal surgery.
The ideal candidate would provide 1-2 shifts per month, working from 7pm - 7:30am or 7am - 7:30pm (12-hour shifts). Weekends are not required.
The APP will be responsible for advance practice care delivery in collaboration with Neurocritical Care and Neurosurgical Teams. Responsibilities include comprehensive assessments, interpretation of diagnostic results, perform bedside procedures, daily progress notes, patient/family education and meetings.
• Master’s degree in Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner from an accredited program
• Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey
• ACLS and BLS required
• ENLS Certified is preferred
• 1-2 years of experience in Neurocritical Care required
• Must have excellent communication and computer skills
