• JOB SUMMARY
• Hospice Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs); or Hospice Aides; provide personal care; and assist with activities of daily living for patients in end of life care. CNAs function under the direction; instruction; and supervision of the Registered Nurse.

• Required Licenses/Certifications
• Current Nurse Aide Certification
• Current HeartSaver CPR Certification
• Current Driver’s License
• Required Skills; Knowledge; and Abilities
• Ability to carry out obligations and duties of position
• Accountable for the regulatory requirements; functions; and duties of the Hospice Aide
• Deals effectively with community/consumers
• Demonstrated advocate of quality and cost effective care
• Understand the physical; psychosocial; and spiritual concerns/problems of terminally ill patients and families
• Must be knowledgeable of quality and performance improvement activities
• Proven written and editing skills
• Strong computer skills
• Requires ability to handle confidential information
• Excellent human relations and oral/written communication skills
• Demonstrates interpersonal skills
• Designated Driver
• No
• A current Driver License must be on file if the CNA floats to Homecare Hospice
• OSHA Category
• 1 - High Risk
