Full Time | Friday, Saturday & Sunday | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
TDA – Two-Day Alternative Differential
Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Multimodality Technologist – CT/X-Ray to join our imaging team at BSW Round Rock Medical Center . This full-time weekend night shift position works three 12-hour shifts, Friday through Sunday from 7:00 PM–7:00 AM and is eligible for a Two-Day Alternative (TDA) differential .
This is an excellent opportunity for a CT Technologist / X-Ray Technologist looking for a concentrated weekend schedule while working in a hospital-based imaging environment.

Job Summary
The Multimodality Technologist – CT/X-Ray performs high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures in two or more imaging disciplines, with at least 25% of work focused in an advanced modality such as Computed Tomography (CT) .
Under the general supervision of a Radiologist, the Multimodality Technologist provides imaging services to hospital and ambulatory patients as ordered by physicians and other licensed providers for the diagnosis of disease and injury.
Essential Functions
• Perform high-quality CT and diagnostic X-ray imaging procedures according to established protocols, quality standards and department expectations.
• Prepare and position patients appropriately for CT and radiographic procedures, utilizing proper equipment settings, exposure factors and immobilization techniques.
• Demonstrate knowledge of radiation safety, dose monitoring and dose reference levels , including appropriate actions when established levels are exceeded.
• Properly utilize iSTAT point-of-care testing for creatinine levels when required for imaging procedures.
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and families, explaining procedures and assessing each patient's ability to tolerate the examination.
• Follow established safety, infection prevention, medication and radiation protection policies and procedures.
• Utilize appropriate sterile technique and hand hygiene when assisting with or performing invasive imaging procedures.
• Maintain CT, X-ray and other imaging equipment and work areas according to quality, safety and cleanliness standards.
• Collaborate with engineers, physicists and department leadership to help maintain optimal equipment performance.
• Obtain, verify and maintain required patient documentation, including imaging orders, patient history and pregnancy status.
• Maintain accurate medical imaging records within appropriate systems according to department policies and procedures.
• Assist with inventory and ensure appropriate imaging supplies are available.
• Screen individuals entering restricted imaging areas according to established safety protocols.

• Ability to assist with training and serve as a preceptor for new team members when needed.
• Ability to take call if required.

QUALIFICATIONS
• EDUCATION - Graduate of an Accredited Program
• EXPERIENCE - Less than 1 year of Experience

CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION
• Basic Life Support (BLS): BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.
• Medical Radiologic Tech (MRT): Licensed by the State of Texas Medical Board as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT), unless the role is MRI or Ultrasound.
