MRI Technologist - FT

Job description

Functions of Position:
• Maintains established department policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance, and safety.
• Prepares written documentation as required by the profession and the department, such as MRI metal questionnaires, contrast consents, and other such documentation.
• Performs MRI examinations.
• Checks equipment, supplies and accessories on a regular basis.
• Checks images in PACS including evaluating images for technical quality.
• Maintains MRI and other equipment in efficient operating order; notifies supervisor of major malfunctions in a timely manner.
• Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of work areas.
• Transports patients to MRI room; prepares and maintains room.
• Requests and orders supplies as necessary to keep materials on hand at all times.
• Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-services meetings.
• Attend meetings as required.
• Room Preparation

Preparing imaging rooms and assuring they are clean and ready for the next patient. Changing linen, stocking sheets, and restocking supplies.
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Qualifications:
• Must be registered in MR by ARRT or AMRIT within 12 months.
• New graduates of an approved school accepted. MRI experience desirable.
