Job description

The position exists in the radiology department and involves responsibility for performing Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures at a technical level in accordance with protocols established by management to facilitate the consistency of results. The work involves reading and interpreting requests from physicians concerning MRI examination techniques, performing MRI scans, including a variety of procedures that require independent judgement and initiative, greets and explains to patients before and during examinations in order to obtain the required views. An incumbent assumes responsibility for the safe, efficient and proper operation of MRI operating equipment to include proper positioning, technique factors and appropriate use of resources using guidelines and standard procedures as directed by the Radiologist in order to procure the required images.
Qualifications:
Education: AAS in Radiologic Technology Required Licensure: NYS license/registration required, ARRT registered in (R) required and ARRT registered in (MR) required within one year, Certification for Contrast Injection required within 30 days required, BLS certification required
Salary: $36.78 - $52.35 per hour DOE
Sign on Bonus $15,000 - less than 1 year experience
Sign on Bonus $25,000 - 1+ years experience
