Overview
Provides high level support and coordination of EPIC Radiology Information Management Systems (RIS), including tech workflow, scheduling, charging, and radiologist voice recognition reporting systems, etc. Responsibilities include managing RIS functional definitions for Department; in coordination with Information Services, develops policies and procedures, guides and design/build documentation for RIS for use in the Department. Responsible for training Radiology faculty and staff in the use of RIS and voice recognition software. Manages the Information Associates team.
Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor degree with computer science emphasis required. May substitute minimum 8 years work experience in Radiology and/or hospital billing systems with minimum 5 years related management experience. Requires working knowledge of applicable information technology that allows orientation to the Shands/UF environment with minimal training. Knowledge of CPT coding required. Knowledge of radiology specific processes and systems strongly preferred. Knowledge of health insurance and billing requirements strongly preferred. EPIC RADIANT certification required within one year of hire. EPIC CADENCE certification within one year of hire is highly preferred.
