Job description

The Mental Health Specialist (MHS) works with other team caregivers of inpatient unit staff to provide patient care in a variety of job duties, and under the direct supervision of the Social Work Supervisor, RN, or the Mental Health Professional, or the inpatient Unit Manager or Director.

Required Qualifications:
• H.S. Diploma or GED or equivalent education/experience
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• 1 year experience in an acute or residential inpatient psychiatric facility in a similar role. Applicable internship or practicum experience may be applied towards required years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Adult inpatient psych unit experience in an adult psychiatric environment
