Job description

• Greet and assist patients, physicians, and visitors in a professional and courteous manner
• Answer phones, take accurate messages, and direct calls appropriately
• Schedule and coordinate office visits and testing
• Provide patients with accurate appointment, testing, and preparation instructions
• Coordinate physician schedules and communicate schedule changes to clinical staff
• Maintain accurate patient records, reports, schedules, and documentation
• Assist with pre-admission testing and procedure coordination
• Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, nurses, and other departments
• Perform general administrative duties including faxing, scanning, correspondence, and document preparation
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow departmental and organizational policies
• Assist with training new staff and support the team during high-volume periods
• Perform additional duties as assigned
• High school diploma or GED required
• Associate degree or higher preferred
• Previous medical office experience preferred
• EPIC experience preferred
• Knowledge of medical or cardiovascular terminology is a plus
• Strong computer, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to take initiative and work independently when appropriate
• Professional, dependable, and team-oriented
