If you are looking for challenging work and meaningful advancement within the network, please consider applying for this paid training opportunity.Selected candidates will interview with physician practices and be considered to fill their open MA positions upon completion of the training program.The Medical Assistant Trainee’s primary responsibility is to learn the concepts and skills tobecome a certified Medical Assistant within 16 weeks thru the Community Health Network paidMedical Assistant Training Program. The training program is developed to allow the trainee toactively participate and support the primary clinical teams upon completion. Once a Medical Assistant, The Medical Assistant will be responsible for assisting the provider of an ambulatory health care site with facilitation of patient visit and procedures, routine laboratory tests, referrals, and quality outcomes for the population of the practice. You will actively participate in Network quality initiatives regarding best practices.Exceptional Skills and Qualifications
• High School Diploma or state recognized GED
• Responsible for being an engaged student during online learning, skills lab, and classroom education. Sample education to include:Basic anatomy and physiologyVocabulary of medical terminology and abbreviationsPatient education and safetyVital signsEKG, Glucometry, PhlebotomySpecimen collectionUpdating medication list and allergies in recordDocumentation for all assigned responsibilities in EPICAdministering ImmunizationsOther applicable training
