Medical Assistant

Job description

Under the general supervision of the manager of the Women's Health and Wellness Center, the medical Assistant II assists the clinicians in the delivery of direct patient care in the outpatient setting. Obtains pre-authorization and schedules patient appointments, assist's clinicians with patient calls and requests, as well as rotates front and back-office responsibilities to aid in the overall care of patients in this multidisciplinary center.

Required Qualifications:
• Graduation from accredited medical assisting program Or equivalent educ/experience
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• 1 year Medical back-office assistant and casting experience in a hospital or physician practice.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Upon hire: National Medical Assistant Certification
