🩺 Medical Assistant – Endocrinology
📍 Mission Farms Location
Join Saint Luke's Endocrinology at our Mission Farms clinic and play a vital role in helping patients manage diabetes, thyroid disorders, osteoporosis, adrenal disorders, and other endocrine conditions. This position combines hands-on patient care, care coordination, and administrative support in a collaborative specialty practice.
What You'll Do
✅ Patient Care
• Perform pre-visit planning to help ensure efficient and effective patient visits
• Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical histories, and other clinical information
• Review medications, allergies, and health information for accuracy
• Administer injections and coordinate vaccines
• Perform phlebotomy as needed
• Assist providers with procedures when needed
• Conduct telephone screening using established protocols
• Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining a professional and compassionate demeanor

✅ Endocrinology Support
• Support patients managing chronic endocrine conditions including diabetes, thyroid disorders, osteoporosis, adrenal disorders, and other hormonal conditions
• Assist with patient education and follow-up care coordination
• Communicate provider instructions regarding medications, laboratory testing, and follow-up appointments
• Coordinate referrals, diagnostic testing, prescription refills, and prior authorizations

✅ Administrative Responsibilities
• Utilize the EMR system for documentation and patient care coordination
• Scan and upload documents into the electronic medical record
• Manage prescription refill requests and prior authorizations
• Schedule appointments, testing, and follow-up visits
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Provide front office coverage as needed
• Perform additional duties based on clinic needs
