Position Summary
Looking for Manager, Pharmacy Operations:
• People's skills.
• Inpatient pharmacy experience as a supervisor or manager with at least 5 direct reports for 2 years or more. Not retail pharmacy managers.
• Has been the direct report who was responsible for 5 or more individuals to perform annual evaluations, coaching plans, disciplinary action, and supervision over daily assignments.
• Operations.
• Has been responsible for actively performing technician duties, compounding sterile products, and I
• Has been responsible for participating in budget and inventory management.
• Worked directly with automated dispensing systems (Pyxis or Omnicell)
• Regulatory
• Has participated in state, federal or regulatory inspections of a pharmacy.
• Has worked with establishing policies/procedures, protocols, or guidelines.

A Brief Overview
Coordinates activities of team members providing pharmacy services under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy Services.
What you will do
• Coordinates development and implementation of systems and policies and procedures for effective pharmacy services in conjunction with other members of the Pharmacy team.
• Participates in the Process Improvement and Quality Management programs and assures compliance of assigned areas of responsibility.
• Meets regularly with the management team to plan, revise or implement new services, and/or policies and procedures.
• Meets regularly with team members to share information, provide guidance and review and resolve issues.
• Assures compliance with Safety and Infection Control practices as well as meeting legal requirements within areas designated.
• Coordinates scheduling and supervision of team members as appropriate to achieve operational goals.
• Interviews prospective team members with other members of team and participates in their selection.
• Participates in all personnel management issues involving team members.
• Coordinates written performance evaluations for pharmacist and technician team members and reviews each evaluation with the team members within the specified period.
• Is responsible for pharmacy operations in the absence of the Director of Pharmacy Services.
• Demonstrates leadership skills in both verbal and nonverbal communication behaviors.
• Manage technology and automation to allow for optimum resources
• Maintains current knowledge in Pharmacy and management issues by attending seminars, reading journals, etc.
• Manages various human resources functions including hiring, work assignments, coaching plans, and performance counseling.
• Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
• Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
• Establishes and maintains an open communication process with all team members and physicians.
• Participates actively in the Pharmacy leadership team.
• Collaborates with Clinical staff to help develop and implement clinical programs and education for team members and service areas.

Qualifications
• Pharmacy degree (Bachelor of Science, Pharm.D.) is required.
• Must meet one of the following:
• Two (2) years of hospital pharmacy practice experience with one (1) year of supervisory experience.
• Two (2) years completion of ASHP-accredited residency with one (1) year of supervisory experience.
• Must be licensed as a pharmacist by the Florida Board of Pharmacy or must obtain licensure within 4 months of hire. Once obtained, license must be maintained as active.
