Job description
Job Summary
• Monitors and evaluates financial and productivity information to achieve operational benchmarks.
• Fosters the learning of staff to fulfill the current and future requirements of individuals and the organization.
• Responsible for oversight of Centralized Scheduling/Pre Service duties which includes but is not limited to scheduling of outpatient procedures, pre-registration, inpatient and outpatient insurance verification and oversight of the patient estimate process.
• Responsible to the training and retention of staff for the Centralized Scheduling/Pre-Service Center. Responsible for ongoing coaching and development of staff.
• Participates collaboratively with internal and external customers to provide excellent customer service in a financially sound manner.
• Responsible for being knowledgeable with Centralized Scheduling Module as well as defining processes for scheduling outpatient procedures.
• Responsible for oversight of Centralized Scheduling/Pre Access budgets. Will communicate with department supervisor as necessary to insure fiscal benchmarks are achieved.
Qualifications
Education
• B.S. in Business Administration, Accounting, or equivalent degree required.
• Thorough knowledge of third party payer requirements required. Requires a working knowledge of Word and Excel.
• 5 to 7 years of experience in a supervisory or management position in a healthcare environment will be accepted in lieu of the education requirements.
Experience
• Five to seven years previous Registration or Business Office experience in a supervisory or lead position in a hospital Registration or Business Office.
• Ten years of experience in a supervisory or management position in a healthcare environment will be accepted in lieu of the hospital experience requirements.
(Above requirements can be met by equivalent combination of education and experience)
Compensation/Benefits
• $25.74-$42.03/hr depending on previous work experience.
