Job Requirements
Pay Range: $77.54–$123.81/hour
• Manage daily operations of the Home Infusion Pharmacy.
• Supervise and support Home Infusion Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians.
• Develop staff schedules, assign responsibilities, and oversee hiring, performance, training, and development.
• Partner with pharmacy leadership to set goals and improve department operations.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations and health system policies.
• Oversee medication inventory, controlled substances, storage, recalls, and expiration management.
• Manage department quality, safety, infection control, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Oversee sterile compounding of IV medications, parenteral nutrition, and hazardous medications.
• Ensure compliance with sterile compounding, cleanroom, and medication safety standards.
• Implement and optimize pharmacy technology, automation, and barcode systems.
• Provide clinical and technical guidance to pharmacists and technicians.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support safe and effective medication therapy.
• Oversee pharmacy information systems, dispensing processes, and operational workflows.
• Support department budgeting, financial controls, reporting, and cost-effective medication purchasing.
• Monitor insurance, reimbursement, third-party payer requirements, audits, and patient assistance programs.
• Maintain department policies, procedures, records, equipment, and documentation.
• Participate in department meetings, committees, and strategic initiatives.
• Obtain and maintain additional state pharmacy licenses as needed to support business operations.

Work Experience
Qualifications
• Education: Licensure by the Maryland State Board of Pharmacy is required. Masters, doctorate or doctor of Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Science degree from a college or university accredited by the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy is required.
• Experience: Minimum of three (3) years clinical pharmacist experience is required. Minimum of two (2) years supervisory/managerial practice experience is preferred.
• Licensure/Certifications: Licensure by the Maryland State Board of Pharmacy is required.
• Preferred: Completion of a heath-system pharmacy administration and leadership residency program accredited by the American Society of Hospital Pharmacists. Experience in outpatient and/or home infusion pharmacy setting(s).
