Summary :
The Manager, Business Operations is responsible for oversight of operational activities, resource management, productivity and financial analysis, and regulatory compliance. Manages assigned team members, ensures the orderly and efficient delivery of services, coordinates information systems, manages equipment and supplies, manages vendor relations and contract management, develops, monitors, and analyzes financial, productivity, and quality measures, develops and implements budgets, oversees billing, revenues, and expenditures, performs project management, and complies with legal and accreditation standards within the department.
Job Description:
This position would oversee our Cath Lab and Cardiac Specials Procedural Area. Locations would include ThedaCare Appleton, Neenah, and Holy Family in Manitowoc.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Effectively manages team members in a manner consistent with ThedaCare policies and values. Ensures the recruitment and retention of competent team members to meet the needs of the business operations of the department.
• Is accountable for daily activities and work processes that result in quality outcomes.
• Oversees and ensures accuracy of time and attendance and payroll practices.
• Improves and sustains the operational systems, processes, and policies by supporting better management reporting, information flow and management, business processes, and organizational planning.
• Assists in overseeing financial management, planning, systems, and controls of the department.
• Demonstrates knowledge of financial and unit-specific information systems, and serves as a project manager for new system implementations and upgrades.
• Implements measurement indices to track and monitor operational results.
• Provides oversight and accountability for activities, costs, and responsibilities of third party, contracted, and outsourced service providers.
• Drives initiatives in the management team and organizationally that contribute to long-term operational excellence.
• Maintains appropriate records and conducts related activities to ensure an accurate inventory of property and departmental assets.
• Leads the accurate charge capture process.
• Has working knowledge of strategic pricing for assigned clinical programs including price sensitive procedures.
• Actively represents assigned clinical programs in supply chain and capital needs ensuring excellent stewardship results.
• Assists clinical leadership in business concepts for the providers.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, hospital administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job
• Five years of progressive responsibility in a healthcare setting
• Three years of leadership experience to include leading teams and/or projects

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of twenty-five (25) pounds without assistance
• Job classification is not exposed to blood borne pathogens (blood or bodily fluids) while performing job duties

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
• Climate controlled office setting with daily movement throughout the facility
• Interaction with department members and other healthcare providers

CARDIOLOGY DEPARTMENTS:
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, hospital administration, Nursing, Radiology Technologist, or an equivalent combination of education and experience that provides required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job
• Cardiology and/or Cath lab experience preferred.
• Five years of progressive responsibility in a healthcare setting
• Three years of leadership experience to include leading teams and/or projects
