Shift Details: Mon-Fri 7:30a - 4:30p Holidays : N/A Weekends : 6 to 7 a year/half day screening mammo
Job Summary:
Responsible for identifying and resolving issues related to images, equipment, and quality control. Maintains competency and performs at least one of the following on a routine basis: mammography interventional procedures i.e. Affirm / Stereotactic, diagnostic radiology, ultrasound, or bone density. And/or responsible for identifying and resolving issues related to images, equipment, quality control and Epic Mammo system. Provides back up coverage for the Lead / QA Mammography Technologist, performs quality control, and consults with physicians. Ability to work effectively and harmoniously with medical / clinical staff, students, and patients. Perform other duties as assigned / requested.
EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:
A minimum of 1-2 years experience in performing mammography is required.
EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:
Post high school completion of an ARRT approved program in radiologic technology is required. 1-2 years of college/university and/or undergraduate degree in a healthcare-related field is preferred.
SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:
If responsible for patient reporting: Must be able to work independently in Epic Mammo; must have excellent communication skills; computer skills and problem solving skills.
LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:
ARRT registered IN radiology (RTR) and current State of Wisconsin license as a Radiographer is required. Advanced certification through ARRT in ARRT-M is also required. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
