About the Job
General Summary of Position
Performs alterations repair maintenance duties and minor construction on hospital buildings. Installs modifies repairs and maintains a variety of electrical and mechanical equipment. Performs at Journeyman level in skill specialty.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
• Contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adheres to department policies procedures quality standards and safety standards. Complies with governmental and accreditation regulations.
• Checks in all supplies and materials for department and reports condition and status of same appropriately.
• Keeps record of all work done and makes out work sheet on each job stating department work for time and material used.
• Checks all equipment into which associates come into contact checks for safety features and reports all equipment not functioning properly and any violation of any safety issues to supervisor.
• Attends meetings and safety in-services as assigned by supervisory chain.
• Takes call as assigned for emergencies.
• Performs care maintenance and repair of institutional property equipment and grounds as direct by the supervisor.
• Performs care and use of supplies and maintenance of equipment used in performance of duties.
• Properly implements disaster plan and fire plan as per Hospital policy.

Minimal Qualifications
Education
• High School Diploma or GED required or
• equivalent. required

Experience
• 3-4 years Experience in maintenance and power plant work. required

Licenses and Certifications
• DL - Valid State Driver's License in good standing Valid driver's license with good driving record required
• Engineer 3rd Grade - ENG 3RDG Maryland third class stationary engineer license preferred

This position has a hiring range of
USD $23.65 - USD $42.03 /Hr.
