Join our dynamic pediatric team at UConn Health Community Network Medical Group, Inc., where you will work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume office serving children of all ages. As an LPN, you will collaborate closely with seven providers, ensuring smooth patient flow, delivering quality care, and supporting the overall efficiency of the practice.
• Room patients and obtain accurate vital signs
• Prepare exam rooms and equipment for the provider
• Administer vaccines according to schedule and protocol
• Refill prescriptions and verify medication orders
• Process faxes, paperwork, and electronic documentation
• Answer phone calls, address patient inquiries, and review gaps in care
• Cross‑cover triage nurses, assisting patients and parents with medical concerns
• Provide triage assessments and prioritize patient needs
• Assist with coverage for other providers during absences or peak times
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment
• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Connecticut
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience, preferably in pediatrics
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask in a high‑volume environment
• Knowledge of pediatric vaccine schedules and administration techniques
• Excellent organizational and documentation abilities
• Team‑oriented mindset with flexibility for cross‑coverage
