Responsibilities & Requirements
The Lead Patient Transport plays a key role in supporting patient care by coordinating and facilitating the safe, timely, and efficient movement of patients throughout the healthcare facility. This position provides guidance to the transport team, ensures adherence to safety and quality standards, and serves as a liaison between departments to optimize patient flow. Performs other duties as assigned. All job responsibilities are to be carried out in alignment with Kettering Health's mission, vision, values, and B Safe program.
Required Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Required Work Experience:
• At least 1 year of experience as a Patient Transporter or in a similar healthcare support role.

Required Licenses, Certifications, and Registrations:
• None required at hire.

• Ability to safely operate patient transport equipment

Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Education:
• Associate's degree in a healthcare-related field.

Preferred Work Experience:
• Experience in a lead, trainer, or supervisory capacity within a healthcare environment.

Preferred Licenses, Certifications, and Registrations:
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
