Overview
The Lab Instrument and Software Analyst oversees the configuration, optimization, and data analytics of the laboratory middleware and diagnostic automation line. Serves as a liaison between vendors, IT, LIS, and other application analysts, management, and end users to resolve system functionality and design workflow process issues, updates, implementations, and validations needed for testing. Ensures accurate specimen routing, streamlined workflows, and seamless integration across multiple testing platforms, including but not limited to Chemistry, Hematology, and Coagulation instrumentation, automation, and software.

Certifications: Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) (AMT) within 1 year - American Medical Technologists (AMT); Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) (ASCP) within 1 year - American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP); Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) (AMT) within 1 year - American Medical Technologists (AMT); Medical Technologist (MT) (AMT) within 1 year - American Medical Technologists (AMT); Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) (ASCP) within 1 year - American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP); Medical Technologist (MT) (ASCP) within 1 year - American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), Education: Associate's Degree: Clinical Laboratory Science; Bachelor's Degree: Clinical Laboratory Science, Work Experience: Core lab
Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end diagnostic equipment installations, modifications, additions, and upgrades. Manage informatics platforms to connect analyzers with LIS and EHR networks. Assess and configure automation software to optimize specimen routing, auto-verification, and data mining. Serve as subject matter expert for system implementations, testing, and validations for applicable applications and hardware. Troubleshoots, diagnosis and assist in remediation of system software/hardware problems. Coordinates problem resolution with internal and external technical support personnel. Manages process and procedural changes/additions based on application functionality. Assist with other LIS/EHR builds, testing, and troubleshooting as applicable.

Compensation and Benefits
The compensation range for this position is $34.75per hour - $59.77per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
