What We Offer
The Investments Intern position is a part of the Novant Asset Management Company’s Investments Team and supports efforts across the portfolio, including but not limited to:
• Public Markets, e.g. Global Equities, Fixed Income, and Liquid Alternatives
• Private Markets, e.g. Private Equity, Private Credit, and Private Real Assets
• Investment Operations

Responsibility to research and analyze data to support the senior investments staff in making portfolio management and strategic planning decisions, along with supporting internal operations. Candidates must be local to the Charlotte, NC area as this position is on-site in Charlotte.

What You'll Do
What You’ll Do:
• Effective communication skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and time-sensitive deliverables with a high degree of quality and accuracy while remaining highly organized.
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative research on investment strategies and perform portfolio attribution/factor analysis, portfolio risk decomposition and exposure management over time.
• Construct and run financial models to adequately create, assess, and execute investment themes and individual managers from both a risk and return perspective.

What We're Looking For
• Education: High School Diploma or GED, Required. Currently in Medical Office Administration Studies, Required.
• Additional Skills Preferred : Demonstrates customer service skills dealing with senior leaders, personnel, physicians, and visitors. Expresses information in clear, concise, organized manner.
• Additional Skills Preferred:
• Economics, Finance, Business Administration,Applied Mathematics, Statistics. Data Engineering, Computer Science
• Global Equities / Public Equities, Fixed Income, Hedge Funds, Alternative investments (e.g. Private Equity, Venture Capital, Private Credit, Private Real Estate, etc.), Portfolio management, Asset allocation, Institutional investing, Financial markets, Statistical modeling, Programming skills (Python, R, etc.), Quantitative data analysis
