Job description

SUPERVISION RECEIVED : Works under the close supervision of IT Director or designee who reviews work to ensure effectiveness.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES :
• Work closely with the designated IT team to assist with departmental projects.
• Performs PC troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve common problems.
• Setup and install PCs and required software.
• Provides assistance to IT teams to resolve or assist in the resolution of problems.
• Performs other related duties as assigned. Utilizes new improvements and/or technologies that relate to job assignment.

MINIMUM ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS :
Minimum education required – one or more of the following:
• High school graduate and/or GED equivalent.
• Current or previous enrollment in Genesee Career Institute Information Technology program or similar career preparatory academy.
• Graduated or current enrollment in an accredited Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree program majoring in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other related field with a minimum of a 2.5 GPA.
• Current industry recognized certification such as Comptia A+, Security+, Network+, Cisco CCNA, Microsoft, or similar.

Must meet one or more of the following requirements:

• Demonstrated working knowledge of current Windows OS and PC troubleshooting procedures.
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Ability to communicate in a business appropriate way verbally and in writing.
• Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with Medical Center staff, physicians, and the general public.
