Summary of Essential Functions
• Ensures a high level of cleanliness, appearance, and order to all patient care, clinical, and administrative environments.
• Fosters and encourages a working environment that promotes superior customer service, quality work product, personal accountability, flexibility, departmental integrity, and organizational pride.
• Responsible for evaluating, counseling, motivating, disciplining, scheduling, teaching, and coordinating staff members working within the primary area of responsibility.

Educational Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• College degree preferred
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Certification/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
• Preferred minimum of five years experience in a Guest Services or Environmental Services related capacity, with two years experience in a supervisory capacity or leadership role.
• Computer proficiency and software application skills highly preferred.

Physical Requirements
• Must be able to lift, push, or pull a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Must be able to kneel, stoop, bend, and stretch on a frequent basis.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Identify problems and provide creative solutions. Analyze elements of a process, identify creative ideas to improve a process, there for alleviating problems or potential problem situation.
• Must demonstrate the ability to make effective decisions, be productive and set a professional example, and promote a positive reflection on the organization and department.
• Adheres to departmental and hospital policies when administering counseling and/or disciplinary action. Accomplishes all tasks in a fair and consistent manner with all employees. Counseling is objective and non-personal in nature. Hiring practice, to include the interview process, are thorough and in compliance with all applicable organizational and EEOC standards.
• Ensures that each employees work performance is of the highest quality and sufficiently meets standards of expectations, with a special emphasis on attention to detail ant that each employee’s assigned work tasks are completed in a timely and effective manner.
• Ensures that all employees understand and comply with all URHCS infection control, safety, and departmental policies. Enforces policy and procedure throughout the organization and stresses the importance of compliance to departmental staff.
• Performs all other tasks/responsibilities as necessary.
