Overview
Hospital/Power Plant Mechanic IV is responsible for independently troubleshooting, repair, and sometimes replacement of all mechanical equipment and their associated systems in Carle facilities as well as fire protection and alarm systems and for performing preventive maintenance as required. The Mechanic IV should have the ability to lead and instruct Facilities Mechanics I, II and III in the absence of the Lead Mechanic. Should possess the ability to lay out work and conveys details via plans, drawings, sketches and oral instructions.
Qualifications
Section 608 Universal Technician Certification - Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
And
Driver's License - Illinois Secretary of State (ILSOS)
Carle Maintenance Mechanic III level

Responsibilities
Performs all essential job functions of Maintenance Mechanic III.
Ability to lead departmental staff on new construction or remodeling projects.
Creates estimates for time and materials; orders materials and equipment and assures availability; maintains accurate records
Installs and maintains refrigeration systems and systems consisting of refrigeration systems.

Compensation and Benefits
The compensation range for this position is $25.5per hour - $42.59per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
