Job Highlights
Joining the histology and immunohistochemistry (IHC) lab team will provide you with an opportunity to contribute to the diagnostic precision behind patient care through high-quality tissue preparation and staining. You’ll perform tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, staining, coverslipping, and quality checks while supporting IHC, special stains, and digital pathology initiatives. You’ll partner closely with pathologists and other lab staff while working across a wide range of routine and complex cases. This role is ideal if you’re detail-driven, enjoy technical mastery, and want to grow in an innovative, high-standard diagnostic setting.
Job Description
To perform a variety of specialized, complex histological techniques (immunohistochemical/IHC, pathology molecular, renal). To assist supervisor and/or team leads with evaluating new instrumentation and/or methods, reagents, quality control, troubleshooting, equipment maintenance and Vantage data management. To assist team lead with frozen section lab and special procedures (IHC, renal).
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent required. Currently certified as a Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) required.
