Job description

• DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
• To assess nutritional status and deliver Nutrition Services to WIC applicants, including high-risk women, infants and children under the Supervision of the Senior Nutritionist. This includes providing counseling and referrals when needed.
• POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)
• Experience:
• Proper training in counseling and assessing skills
• Education and Training:
• Bachelor's degree in Public Health Nutrition, Foods and Nutrition, or nutrition education. Masters in Public Health Nutrition, or Food and Nutrition or Registration with the American Dietetic Association, desired
• License, Certification & Registration:
• Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist or Registered Dietitian preferred
• Other Requirements:
• One years experience in clinical or community nutrition. Good communication skills. Sensitive to the needs of the client population. Available to work at multiple sites and evenings as needed.
