Food Service Worker, part time, varied shifts (every other weekend required)

PTA positions to support Cafe area. Would learn multiple positions on both 1st and 2nd shift to help with day off and vacation coverage.
Employment Type: Part Time (20 hours per week)
Shift: Varied 1st and 2nd shifts
Weekly Scheduled Hours: varied
Weekend Frequency : Every other weekend
Works under the supervision of the Food & Nutrition Services Manager and is responsible for safe and sanitary food preparation, proper maintenance of service utensils and small equipment, restocking and cleaning duties, cash register operation, and customer service. Performs other duties as assigned.
Food Safety and Sanitation
• Safely handles food in accordance with established FDA and MDA guidelines and practices.
• Follows daily sanitation schedule in performing assigned cleaning duties.
• Performs "clean as you go" activities and maintains high level of cleanliness in assigned work area.
• Washes dishes, utensils and equipment. Operates dish machine. Returns clean items to assigned storage areas.
• Ensures that all food is properly labeled, dated, and rotated.
• Collaborates with other areas of the department to minimize food waste.
• Maintains proper hand hygiene.
• Cleans and sanitizes all equipment after use.
• Other Duties as Assigned.
