Job description

Overview
To deliver excellent patient centered service by facilitating established financial processes that enable and expedite the billing and collection of professional services. This includes: entering charges; applying coding/billing rules; maximizing collections; verifying insurance; obtaining authorizations for services; reviewing patient account detail; and financial counseling of patients. Accountable for resolution of front-end edits, rejections, and information requests to achieve practice goals. This position interacts directly with internal and external customers of the practice.
Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of business, financial, or physician practice experience required, preferably in patient accounts, billing, or collections.
• Knowledge of CPT and diagnosis coding preferred.
• Experience with the EPIC system preferred.
• A four-year degree may substitute for two years of required financial or physician office experience.
• An associate degree or equivalent coursework may substitute for one year of required experience.

• Ability to professionally collect payments and provide financial counseling to patients.
• Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and resolve issues effectively.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while maintaining a high level of customer service.
