Environmental Services/Facilities Technician

Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital’s Environmental Services Team is looking for a detail oriented Facilities Technician. This is a great opportunity to join the NVRH team and grow a healthcare career. Facilities Technicians perform a variety of general cleaning tasks to maintain the corridors, hallways and other assigned areas of the hospital. Responsibilities will also include security functions and a limited set of maintenance functions.

Key Responsibilities:
• Complete assigned duties as outlined in the task sheets and discharge checklist
• Clean, dust, polish, disinfect, restock and empty trash in rooms, hallways and bathrooms
• Operate mechanical floor cleaner, vacuum to maintain floors throughout the hospital

Qualifications:
• High School diploma or GED
• One to three years’ experience in the maintenance of carpets and hard surface flooring
• While not required, we highly value cleaning experience in an institutional/healthcare setting
