The END technologist performs these diagnostic tests with an instrument that records brain waves. The END technologist attaches electrodes to specific areas of the patient’s head to measure differences in the amplitude and frequency of electrical potentials between various parts of the brain. Exceptional Skills and QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED required. Graduate of an accredited END program preferred. Registered or certified in Neuro-Diagnostic Testing, or eligible per ABRET (Neuro-diagnostic Credentialing and Accreditation) END Exam Eligibility Requirements. Completion of recording, ASET CEUs, and documented EEGs prior to start date, required. Must be Certified Registered EEG T. within one year of obtaining role, required.Must demonstrate competence performing neuro-diagnostic proceduresAbility to work independently without close supervisionAbility to act in good judgment in decision-making responsibilitiesMust have the ability to work with patients of all ages, ranging from neonates to elderly adultsBasic knowledge of computers useful
