Job description

Job Summary:
The EMT serves as a team member of the critical care transport team by utilizing their knowledge and skills to stabilize and move patients from one location to another.
• Provide safe operations for all patients transported by a McLeod Critical Care Ambulance (both Heart Reach and Child Reach) as either driver or crew member.
• Demonstrates competency and knowledge in ambulance operations, Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Just Culture.
• Maintains positive communication (written and spoken) when collaborating with healthcare facilities.
• Adheres to all McLeod Health and SC EMS DHEC policies as outlined in 61-7.
• Completes accurate and timely documentation (written and electronic) per policy.
• Demonstrates general knowledge of Incident Command Systems (ICS) and role in disaster responses.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: A minimum of (2) years with a 911 system South Carolina Driver's license
Licenses and Certifications:
Emergency Medical Tech certification
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Job type: full-time; 80 hours biweekly; as scheduled
