• Facility: Ascension Via Christi West ER
• Department: Emergency Department
• Schedule: Day Shift l PRN | 11am-11pm #NextGenHealthcare

How you’ll make an impact in this role
• Reach the emergency scene, assess the situation, determine injury severity, and establish an immediate plan of action.
• Provide supportive medical treatment using appropriate equipment both on-scene and during patient transport.
• Track patient condition, collect vital data, and report findings directly to the primary Registered Nurse (RN).
• Safely assist patients with movement, ambulation, and transfer to medical facilities.

What minimum requirements you’ll need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Emergency Medical Tech credentialed from the Kansas Board of Emergency Medical Services (KSBEMS) required.
• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Drivers License credentialed from the Kansas Department of Motor Vehicles preferred.

Education:
• High School Diploma equivalency required with 2 years of cumulative experience preferred. OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience.

Additional Preferences:
• 1 year of EMT experience
