Baystate Health is seeking a Emergency Department Assistant (EDA) to join our Emergency Department team at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts . Our Emergency Department team provides care to a diverse adult patient population, working closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, compassionate, high-quality care.
Emergency Department Assistant Responsibilities Include:
• Provides age-appropriate care in emergency, trauma, pediatric, and behavioral health settings.
• Observes patients and reports changes in physical or behavioral conditions.
• Assists with personal care, vital signs, mobility, transfers, positioning, and patient safety.
• Performs assigned procedures and safely operates patient care equipment.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and organized patient care environment.
• Uses appropriate de-escalation, restraint, and safety procedures.
• Completes behavioral health observation and safety duties as assigned.
• Maintains accurate and timely patient documentation.
• Completes required training and follows hospital policies and procedures.

Schedule Details
• Job Type: Full-Time, 36 hours per week
• Shift: Night, 7pm-7:30am
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts
• Weekend Requirement: Every other Friday and Saturday
• Holiday Requirements: Every other Holiday

$16.34 - $18.78 - $21.46
