Job Summary:
St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring an Electrician to join our Edgewood Maintenance Team.
Shift/Hours: Full Time 40 Hours, First Shift
To assure reliable operations of the electrical systems of the facility by providing emergency, corrective, and scheduled repair services.

• Install conduit and other raceway systems for power distribution wiring and communications systems wiring in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
• Troubleshoot electrical control schematics for a wide variety of equipment and systems to identify and correct problems.
• Repair and install electrical distribution equipment transformers, panels, devices, fixtures, and other components of power distribution systems, including three-phase 208 volt and 480 volt systems, to provide dependable, reliable service in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
• Repair and install contactors, overloads, starters, and other related equipment to ensure proper operation of motors controls for equipment and systems of the facility.
• Install and service intercom, paging, television, telephone, low voltage, fire alarm and other communications type systems to ensure dependable and reliable operation.
• Read and interpret riser drawings, construction documents, and other documentation to understand and service the electrical systems of the facility.
• Prepare material lists for projects from drawings to ensure that work can proceed promptly and efficiently.
• Use tools such as core drill, band saw, pipe bending equipment, pipe cutting and threading equipment for rigid conduit, and other tools required for installation of major equipment or project work.
• Understand general principles of operation of high voltage distribution systems and emergency power systems to be able to recognize abnormal conditions and assist in coordinating repairs and service work.
• Test and perform monthly PM on Generator and Emergency Power Systems.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education, Credentials, Licenses:
• High School diploma
• Two years of applicable formal training above High School level
• Journeyman License

Specialized Knowledge:
• Three-phase power systems, 208 volt and 480-volt Systems. Proficient with following electrical instrumentation: VOM, amprobe Communications systems, intercoms. Must have a valid driver’s license and a driving record that will meet SEH insurance requirements.
• Thorough knowledge of NFPA 70, 70E & 110

Kind and Length of Experience:
• Three years institutional building electrical maintenance
