Director (RN) – Surgical Services
Job Type: Full-time | Exempt
Up to a $15,000 Sign-On Bonus for Eligible Candidates (two-year commitment) and up to $10,000 in Relocation (with receipts)
Schedule: Days, Monday-Friday (occasional night, weekend or holiday to support staffing when needed)

As Director of Surgical Services, you will lead a dynamic perioperative team and collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, nursing leaders, and hospital leadership to ensure exceptional patient outcomes and operational excellence across a wide range of specialties, including bariatric weight loss, colorectal, general surgery, orthopedics, ENT, pediatrics, plastics, podiatry, robotic surgery, and urology.
This leadership role offers the opportunity to oversee a fast-paced surgical environment, drive quality and patient safety initiatives, support staff development, and help shape the future growth of surgical services.
How you’ll contribute
• Provide day-to-day leadership and operational oversight for Surgical services.
• Manage staffing and scheduling to ensure appropriate coverage and efficient patient care delivery.
• Monitor and manage departmental productivity, staffing resources, and workflow.
• Mentor, coach, and develop staff through ongoing feedback and professional development opportunities.
• Conduct performance evaluations and support employee growth and engagement.
• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and high-quality patient care.
• Develop, implement, and monitor action plans to support departmental goals and performance improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing leaders, and interdisciplinary teams to achieve operational and patient care objectives.

What we’re looking for
Applicants should have a current Montana RN license or Compact RN License with Montana endorsement, and possess an Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:
• Education: Master’s degree (nursing or relevant field) preferred
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire; PALS and ACLS required within 6 months
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of combined experience as a Surgery RN and leader in Surgery services
